Glossary
Economy Mode
A state where the body conserves energy due to perceived scarcity of food, slowing metabolism and weight loss. It can occur after prolonged calorie restriction.
When calorie intake stays low for a long time, the body may reduce how much energy it uses. This slows down weight loss even if you continue the same routine. It is a protective response rather than a failure of your plan. Periods of higher intake or refeeds can help manage this effect.
