And once you have had that feeling enough times, it starts shaping your behavior before events even happen. You hesitate before going out. You avoid gatherings. You prefer situations where you can control the setting. You tell yourself you are just tired or not in the mood. Sometimes that is true. Sometimes you just do not want your body to be the first thing you feel again.
That is a painful thing to admit, but it can also become a clear reason to change. Not because you owe anyone a different appearance. Because you are tired of your body dominating social experience from the inside. You want to walk into a room and think about the room, not about your size relative to everyone in it.
That desire is enough. Wanting to feel socially normal again is enough. Wanting your body to stop being the loudest fact in your own mind is enough. You do not need a more noble reason than that.
